Nurse Aide Training


Certified Nurse Aides play an important role in the field of nursing. As a student in the Nurse Aide program, the student will obtain the knowledge that will prepare them for an entry level position in the medical field.

The goal of the Centura College Nurse Aide program is to prepare students to become Certified Nurse Aides with the skills required to promote safety and comfort for all clients, communicate effectively with nursing and healthcare teams, treat clients with dignity, and assist health care team members in planning and delivering care according to the nursing process.

The 160 clock hour program, which includes 40 hours of clinical experience, will prepare students for entry level employment in hospitals and long-term care facilities. Nurse Aides assist with activities of daily living, ambulation, and client safety.
