Centura College Donates Blood

Centura College Students at the North Chesterfield, Richmond Campus saved 24 lives!  The generous blood donations of the students, faculty and staff were equivalent to saving the lives of 24 individuals.  Some students were apprehensive about donating blood because it was their first  time.  Others were in their comfort zone because they sign up to give blood each time the bloodmobile is scheduled to be on campus. Many of the students who are pros at donating blood encouraged the first timers. …Read More Here

Practical Nursing Student – Brenda Warren

Ms. Brenda Warren, Practical Nursing program student at Centura College, became a member of the Virginia Medical Reserve Corps (VAMRC) in February and has completed her orientation training. After a field trip to the Norfolk Public Health Department, Warren became interested in this organization and felt the desire to give back to her community and to those in need when a disaster or emergency arises. The VAMRC utilizes volunteers to support local public health initiatives, such as, flu vaccination programs, response for local emergencies, health screenings and disasters. …Read More Here

Centura College Dental Assistant Students Recognized at the North Chesterfield (Richmond) Campus

Dental Assistant Centura College N Chesterfield (Richmond) VirginiaDental Assisting Recognition Week was observed nationwide during the week of Sunday, March 3rd through Saturday, March 9th, but for students and instructors in the dental assisting program at the Centura College Midlothian campus, the celebration got underway early. On Friday, February 28th, they traveled to the Chimborazo Medical Museum, a historical landmark located in Richmond, Virginia’s Church Hill district.
